Dumb Monger, Smart phone

I meet my waitress girlfriend that evening, she comes back to Sarjes hotel with me, another reason not to see her every night is so I dont have to pay that 700D joiner fee.  But I am not paying her, not yet, not directly, just taking her out to the best restaurants along the Senegambia and enjoying the company.

Dating Gambian Girls

I get talking to a few of the old guys in Sarjes hotel who have tales to tell.  One of them is dating a local Gambian girl who is working in the hotel kitchen.  He tells me she is strict Muslim and the only way he will be able to have sex with her is by first marrying her 🙂  When he first arrived he intended to have lots of fun…

Bijilo Forest

My day times in Gambia and Kololi were starting to take on a structure, I was getting up at 7AM and down to the breakfast hall in the Sarjes hotel where I was alone and if I was lucky could fill my plate up with hot sausages, baked beans and freshly baked bread.  After breakfast I would walk through the Kairaba hotel to Kololi beach for a morning walk….

The doctor will then determine by country what vaccinations you may need.  The last time I saw the doctor relative to travel was early 2002 when I visit Goa in India, which was my first trip to the third world, where I was expected to take anti malaria tablets daily.

The Gambia Experience

Been considering a return to Africa for a few years now as mongering in other parts of the world has become too commercialised as developing countries economies have vastly improved over the last 10 years.  From no kissing in Costa Rica to Gogos full of Coyote dancers or Fuglies in Thailand, the girlfriend experience has all but gone.  Africa being the final frontier.

Mid Life Crisis

I am off to Gambia soon, I booked this trip up a few months back.  I feel like my life is changing now.  The pressure of work reached boiling point and I have now left.  We come to an amicable agreement though and am currently on ‘Gardening leave’.  So will continue to receive pay for the next couple of months and will be cashing in my shares that have rocketed in recent years, partly due to my contribution 🙂 Continue reading Mid Life Crisis
