Budapest to Bucharest Romania
Arrived in Bucharest Romania on a bright hot sunny Saturday afternoon after a few days mongering in Budapest Hungary. Had booked an apartment in the city center at Piata Uniri with CityComfort Romania for 35 euros a night. Was staying 3 nights whereby I would then continue my eastern European mongering tour in Odessa Ukraine.

I got some provisions from the local supermarket just round the corner and then headed to the old town area Lipscani for a few beers and to eye up the local talent.

Well the first thing you notice is the amount of building work going on. This area is going through a complete face-lift. In fact if you dont keep your eyes peeled while walking along you could have a nasty accident.

I visited a few bars in this area and quite a local young crowd out and about. Bucharest is not bursting with tourists, not yet anyway. The beer was cheap though and very friendly. Some of the girls are really beautiful. I ended up in Bordellos on Strada Selari and sat down here for a while and watched the people go by.
This pub has got a kind of English theme and you can get some good western food here and they even do a passable English breakfast. The barmaid here who you can just see in the picture heading back into the bar was gorgeous and very friendly. I still think about her.

It was dark now and had to concede that although the old town was very lively and full of young university types, there was no open or obvious mongering or P4P scene to be had here. No, I was now heading for a walk down Maguru Boulevard.
